Where your data is stored

Your photos and videos are stored on your TimeCapsule. The Solia Dashboard is primarily there to manage and configure your TimeCapsule — your actual media lives on the device.

How to check storage

• Open the Solia Dashboard

• Look for storage usage on the dashboard

First backup vs daily backups

The first backup can take time because it includes your full library. After that, backups are usually faster because only new photos/videos are uploaded.

When you are running out of space

• Delete unwanted photos/videos in the Immich app (and empty the trash, if applicable)

• Remove unused users if they are no longer needed

Data recovery (advanced)

The TimeCapsule’s internal drive can be removed and connected to a computer if the hardware ever fails. Because media is currently stored in a standard (unencrypted) format, your files can be accessed for recovery.

🔐 Important: since the drive is readable, keep your TimeCapsule physically safe.
