Your TimeCapsule Serial Number should never be shared. Anyone with it may try to claim or activate your device.
⚠️ Treat the Serial Number like a key. Never share it publicly.
When creating users, make sure each account uses a real email address. This is important because password resets and verification steps are sent to the user’s email — not to the Admin.
TimeCapsule is built for families, and privacy is a core promise:
Each user has their own Immich login and private library.
On first login, users change their password inside the Immich app.
Changing sensitive credentials requires verification (for example: current password + email OTP).
This means:
the Admin does not know your password ✅
the Admin can not view your photos/videos ✅
the Admin can only manage the account (for example: delete it) ✅
