🎉Setup TimeCapsule
Congratulations on your new TimeCapsule! We’re excited to have you onboard.
This guide is designed to be quick, clear, and safe — you can be up and running in just a few minutes ✅
1) 🔌 Hardware setup
Connect power to your TimeCapsule.
Connect the Ethernet cable to your router.
Wait a few minutes for the device to boot (first boot can take a bit longer).
Tip: If the LED does not light up, press the power button once.
2) ✅ Activate your device (Solia Dashboard)
Open the activation page: https://dashboard.solia.one/login/activate
Find the Serial Number on the bottom of your TimeCapsule.
Enter the Serial Number and continue.
⚠️ Security warning: Do not share your Serial Number publicly. Treat it like a secret key for your device.
3) 🔐 Create your Admin account
Enter your email and set a strong password.
Verify your email with the OTP code.
This login will become your Admin account in the Solia Dashboard. It is linked to your device and is used to manage your TimeCapsule (users, updates, settings, reset), so make sure you choose a password you trust.
4) 📱 Connect the mobile app (Immich)

What happens after activation?
✅ You create your Solia Dashboard Admin account (this is how you manage the TimeCapsule).
✅ TimeCapsule also creates an Immich account on your device with the same email + password, so you can log into the Immich app immediately and start backing up.
Important: these are two separate logins in two different systems:
Solia Dashboard login (manage the device)
Immich login (access your photo library in the app)
Here’s a simple way to think about it:
Solia Dashboard (Admin): manage your TimeCapsule
add/remove users
install updates
reset the device
manage settings
Immich app (your library): use your photo backup
upload your photos/videos
view your library
share albums with others
Tip: For family members, create separate users instead of sharing the Admin login.
