The Solia Dashboard lets you add and manage users for your TimeCapsule — perfect for families or shared devices.
Admin account vs user accounts (important)
Admin account (Solia Dashboard): this is the main account that can manage the TimeCapsule (settings, users, updates, reset).
✅ Keep this login private.
✅ Don’t share it with family members — create users instead.
User accounts (Immich): each person uses their own Immich login in the mobile app to access their private photo library.
Add a new user
Log in to the Solia Dashboard.
Create a user with a real email address and assign a temporary password.
Share the login details with that person.
Privacy guarantee
When a new user logs in for the first time, they are required to change their password inside the Immich app. That’s exactly how privacy is guaranteed:
the Admin does not know the user’s final password ✅
the Admin can not view the user’s library ✅
the Admin can only manage the account (for example: delete the user) ✅
If the user forgets their password, resets are protected by email verification (OTP) to the user’s email. This prevents the Admin from changing a password and logging in as the user.
In other words: even if the Admin starts a password reset from the dashboard, the confirmation code goes to the user’s email — so the Admin still can’t access the user’s library.
Edit a user
Use the edit dialog in the dashboard to manage user details.
For privacy and security, password changes and resets require verification and can’t be done silently.
Deleted users (restore)
If you delete a user, they may appear under “Deleted users”. If supported by your configuration, you can restore them before they are permanently removed.
Tips for sharing with family
Use a temporary password you can safely share once.
Tell the user to set their own strong password on first login in the Immich app.
